About Us

Established in the 1850’s, Nevett Ford is a well respected and renowned full service law firm with substantial expertise in family law litigation. Family Law disputes are almost always fraught with deep seated emotion and conflict and need to be conducted properly so as to avoid costly litigation in the future.

Our firm’s philosophy is based on providing personalised, practical and prompt delivery of high quality professional services.

Our team has substantial experience in this area of law, and as a result we are well placed to assist clients in all estate related matters. The head of our Family Law section, Ms Elizabeth Hall, is accredited by the Law Institute of Victoria as a Family Law specialist. Specialist Accreditation indicates to potential clients the special skills and competence of a lawyer in a particular area of practice. As a leading law firm, Nevett Ford has accredited specialists in a number of different areas of law.

Only practitioners who complete an LIV accredited specialist course of assessment can call themselves an accredited specialist. Before a lawyer can apply for accreditation, it is necessary to demonstrate at least five years full time practice and a substantial involvement in the area of specialisation during the three years prior to an application.
